Age and Eligibility

Participation in the Stevensville Soccer Classic is open to Club Teams (Select and Premier) within the United States.

Tournament Divisions:

  • U10-U12 (Maximum roster size=14)
  • U13-U19 (Maximum roster size=18)

Age Groups:

  • U19 (January 1, 2005 and younger)
  • U18 (January 1, 2006 and younger)
  • U17 (January 1, 2007 and younger)
  • U16 (January 1, 2008 and younger)
  • U15 (January 1, 2009 and younger)
  • U14 (January 1, 2010 and younger)
  • U13 (January 1, 2011 and younger)
  • U12 (January 1, 2012 and younger)
  • U11 (January 1, 2013 and younger)
  • U10 (January 1, 2014 and younger)

Laws of the Game:

     All games shall be played under FIFA Laws of the game with Youth Soccer Modifications. A maximum of two guest players may be allowed in the U13-19 Divisions. A maximum of one guest player may be allowed in the U10-12 Division.

Time Duration:

     U10-U12 will play (two) 30 minute-halves

     U13-U19 will play (two) 40 minute-halves

     Semi-Final and Championship Game:

          (one) 10-minute overtime in the event of a tie at the end of regulation play (U10-U12)

          (two) 10-minute overtime in the event of a tie at the end of regulation play (U13-U19

Check-in and Game Equipment:

     Check-in time is 20 minutes prior to the scheduled kickoff time.  Players must wear numbers visible on the back of their uniforms and those numbers shall coincide with those listed on the team’s official roster.  Shin guards in accordance with FIFA Laws are required.  Where uniform colors are similar, the team listed first on the schedule (Home Team) must change to an alternate color. Game ball is provided by the “Home Team.” Coaches and players will take the same side of the field.  Parents and spectators will take the opposite side of the field.

Documentation:

     Each team must provide the following at Field Check-in (check-in is at the field site)

  •           Team Roster with State Approved  Players
  •           Permission to Travel Form (out-of-state teams)
  •           Contact Information
  •           Coach’s Name
  •           Coach’s Telephone Number (Local)

PROTEST

     NO PROTEST WILL BE ACCEPTED

Conduct

     Players, coaches and spectators are expected to conduct themselves within the spirit of the game.  Displays of temper, fighting, “abusive” language, dissent and flagrant violation of the Laws of the Game are causes for ejection.  Ejected players may be allowed to remain SEATED in his/her team’s Technical Area provided he/she does not participate in further violations of the Laws of the Game.  An ejected spectator MUST leave the Field Area IMMEDIATELY. If an ejected spectator or coach of a team that is trailing in score refuses to leave the Field of Play when ordered to do so, the game will be terminated and the team that is trailing or tied in score (team whose coach or spectator is not being ejected) will be declared the winner.  In such event, the “Reported Score” (score of the game) will be entered as 1 – 0.  If an ejected spectator or coach of a team that is behind in score refuses to leave the Field of Play, the game will be terminated and the score at the time of the termination will be the score of the game.

It is the responsibility of the team’s coach or the person acting in the coach’s behalf to control the conduct of its parents and other spectators.  All “Red-” and “Yellow” Cards will be reported to the Home Club and the State Soccer Governing Body of the team (s) involved.

Alcohol and Tobacco Products:

     Alcohol and Tobacco Products are forbidden on school property (Stevensville Soccer Complex)

Pets:

The Stevensville School District prohibits animals on school property (Stevensville Soccer Complex). Please leave your animals at home.

Failure to Show and Forfeits

Each team shall be allowed a ten (10-) minute Grace Period after the scheduled dick-off time before the match is awarded to the opponent.

In no case shall a team, which forfeits a game be declared a flight winner or a wild card team.  If an apparent flight winner forfeits a game, the team in that flight with the next best record shall be named the fight winner.  If a team is the cause for termination of a game, that team will be considered to have forfeited that game.  The determination as to which team is the cause for the termination shall be the sole discretion of the referee on the field and the decision may NOT be protested.

A forfeit in the preliminary rounds shall be awarded as three (3) points for a win and the score will stand at the time of the forfeit.  If the score is 0 – 0 at the time of the forfeit, the score will be recorded as 1 – 0.

No team who forfeits a Semi-final or Championship Game will be entitled to individual trophies or team awards.

Playing a “Red-carded” player in the game following the receipt of a Red Card is grounds for a forfeit.

Refund Policy:

If a team is not accepted into the tournament, the Entry Fee shall be refunded in full.

If a team is accepted and later withdraws for ANY reason, the Entry Fee shall be forfeited.

No Entry Fee will be refunded in the event of cancellation of any matches due to inclement weather once the tournament has begun.

Point System:

  •      Win = 3 Points
  •       Tie = 1 Point
  •      Loss = 0 Points

Tie Breaker:

  •      Head-to-Head Competition
  •      Goal differential (Maximum goal differential per game = 3 goals)
  •      Fewest goals allowed
  •      Coin Toss

Entry Fee:

  •      U10-11 = $400.00
  •      U12-13 = $450.00
  •      U14-19= $500.00
